Magnesium users. Do it really help. How many mg you take and how often

  • I have taken it every morning for a little over a month, and only had one little headache (and that was crying-induced, so that was my fault!). I always get a migraine on the weekends, so I also decided to try drinking coffee on weekends, just like during the week. So i am not sure which was the big help

  • How long have you been using it? I'm super curious about Migraine Stop but it is pretty expensive compared to what I spend on my current supplement cocktail.

  • I take magnesium citrate once a day plus a B-Stress complex (both my Nature Made). While it doesn't take away my migraines, it does take the pain down a level when the occur. Tonight I have a 6 out of 10 (pain scale) and took my cocktail as soon as I felt the pressure increase. It makes me super tired at first but takes away some of the pain. I've noticed a difference with it for sure.

    That being said, I think it is definitely different for each person. I would start slow and try it for a few weeks to see if you notice a difference.

  • I started with one 250mg a day for two weeks then upped to two a day. I haven't done more than two a day so far as two seems to be all my body can absorb.

  • I knew my body wasn't taking in more when I tried three a day for a couple days and my stomach was in a constant state of turmoil. haha.

  • Someone said on here per the Dr if you're having diarrhea it means it's working.

  • Yeah, my Doctor said to steadily increase every two weeks until my stomach was upset consistently. Once it hit that point, go back down to the level right before it did so. :)

  • Yep...learned that from this helpful community, and that's why I tried both the coffee and waking up earlier on weekends, like during the week. No way I could stick with waking up early, though!
