  • Yes yor right shaun its get worst again after a few minutes, i not get a scab wheb i blew off my nose. Do you think mine is related to sinus. Do you have the pressure in general? Last month i flew up then i develop the eyes pressure when im on plane my right ear was painful when plane about to landing off like it want to explode i wonder also if its bcuz of my ear

  • Adelie, yes I have general pressure. Your ears hurt on the plane due to air pressure. When at altitude the pressure inside your ear can become different than outside, that is what causes the pain. Popping your ears sends new air to your inner ear which equalisers the pressure so you won't feel pain anymore. So in that sense it's not connected.

That's not to say what's happening within our sinuses isn't the same principle. Imagine if your sinus cavity is blocked and fresh air cannot circulate, the air pressure within the cavity will change making you feel a pressure sensation. It's why when I pop my ears it helps relieve the pressure as I'm basically blasting fresh air through my sinuses.

  • It does make sense Shaun, you have much knowledge into it now, it is that now no matter how i pop my ear i do not feel relief anymore not like the first time i pop feels relief in day, i do use nasal spray only one day feel relief everything i do is just one day only lol. I develop eye pressure after the flight recently i have it now sometimes. Do you feel the pressure like change from place to place.

  • Pressure I feel is mainly from behind my bridge of nose and eyes. My head never feels right

  • Oh this is i feel exactly Shaun, some words i cannot tell correct bcuz english is not my language. My english is poor tho

  • I'm with Dara Kılıçoğlu before this I would eat and I could feel pulsating in my neck and head I always wondered what it was, I think now it's your blood vessels

  • Xxxxxxx Yzzzzzz I've been taking amitriptyline for about 8 months now and I can tell you that it didn't kick in for about 6 weeks. My neurologist told me it would take 4-6wks as it needs to build up in the body. I ended up having to up my dosage slightly from 10mg to 20mg and am due for a raise again, but it did help me somewhat. Don't give up yet on this drug!

  • I think I have found what I have. It's called "midfacial segment pain" and the treatment is 6 months on low dose amitriptyline. This is my 4th week taking it, and I have noticed it working. Still a bit of pressure, but very manageable. I would advise everybody on here to take a look at midfacial segment pain or any other type of facial pain disorder

  • Xxxxxxx Yzzzzzz check out "midfacial segment pain"
